Maupay nga adlaw, Pilipinas!

Kami ngadi ha DepEd kay nagpaabot og congratulations sa nidaog sa Best Educational Technology Innovative Programs sa Eastern Visayas!

First in the roster is the CCNHS E-Commons, SDO Calbayog City’s learning platform or virtual environment designed to address the challenges of online distance learning for Senior High School students in the STEM, ABM, HUMMS, and General Academics strands.

As the first of its kind, the said technology has shown promising ways to track students’ progress and provide access to quality assured learning materials anchored from the recommended Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCS); hereby, living up to the Department’s goal of providing quality education for all.

Another innovative project coming from the region highlights the use of mainstream media such as radio and TV-based instruction. The connected projects, EduKatbalogan BayaniHands: Radyo-Klase and Tele-Klase Project, brought to us by the SDO Catbalogan City, provides maximum learner reach through modules that intensified learners’ engagement even during distance learning.

To support such a proactive measure, the city’s local government unit immediately approved the budget request amounting to 4.2 million pesos for the rental of a radio and TV station, alongside some studio equipment and other facilities that would surely guarantee the continued efforts of the division in facilitating high-quality instruction through 13 and 9 hours of radio and television airing, respectively.

From two strong projects, we’re now down to one of the most impacting projects from SDO Ormoc City – Project Resolve (Redefining Education via Synchronous Online Learning and Virtual Classroom Experience). This project is a rapid response of the teachers of Ormoc City Regional Sports Academy towards the obstacles in the world of digitization. It generated self-learning modules (SLMs) and video lessons for asynchronous learning after teachers underwent rigorous trainings in basic photo editing, building digital dashboards, and so much more. Indeed, the proponents are on the right track as they have proven how a simple brainstorming can bring forth a mechanism that could cause an earlier turn out of test results and real-time progress feedback to learners.

Ug tungod anang tulo ka proyekto, saludo mi ninyo Region VIII! Damo nga salamat sa inyong serbisyo! Padayon!
