BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN MATHEMATICS
A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics is an undergraduate degree that provides theory and training in both applied and core mathematics. It focuses on the analysis of quantities, and language. A BS in Mathematics provides broad knowledge of mathematics topics with depth in certain areas such as algebra, calculus, functional analysis, geometry, number theory, logic, topology and other mathematical specializations while gaining a depth of expertise in certain areas.
The BS Mathematics curriculum emphasizes computing and mathematical modeling because these two areas give our students a competitive advantage when beginning to tailor their careers and academic goals.
The BS in Mathematics requires a series of courses that emphasize computing and acquaint students with widely used software packages like Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Mathematics students often minor in fields related to math, such as computer science, economics and finance and other math laboratories. Through this, students have greater opportunities in the job market.

Graduates of the BS Mathematics program are expected to:

- Demonstrate professional, social and ethical responsibility especially in practicing intellectual property rights and sustainable development.
- Demonstrate the extension and appreciation of the skills and knowledge acquired during their communication studies in their careers beyond the university or in the continuation of their education.
- Exhibit the ability to do research or perform jobs that require analytical thinking and quantitative skills.
