The Colegio de San Lorenzo in Quezon City on Monday announced it is permanently closing due to financial instability as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and low enrollment.
“With a very heavy heart, we would like to inform you that due to the financial instability and lack of financial viability brought about by the ongoing pandemic and exacerbated by consistent low enrollment turnout over the past years, the Board of Trustees has come to the painful and difficult decision to permanently close our educational institution, Colegio De San Lorenzo,” it said in a statement posted on Facebook.

Greetings!
We hope that this letter finds you in good health.
With a very heavy heart, we would like to inform you that due to the financial instability and lack of financial viability brought about by the ongoing pandemic and exacerbated by consistent low enrollment turnout over the past years, the Board of Trustees has come to the painful and difficult decision to permanently close our educational institution, Colegio De San Lorenzo.
While students have already enrolled for the upcoming school year 2022-2023, it would be difficult for Colegio De San Lorenzo to continue operating due to the low turnout of enrollees this year. In connection with this development, we will initiate full refunds of fees paid (i.e. tuition, uniform expenses, book expenses) and assist all students for their transfer to other schools and educational institutions by timely releasing their records and credentials for such purpose.
For those enrolled in our college department, to ensure a better transition to another higher educational institution, we are also coordinating with a university of the same calibre for the possibility of transferring students who are willing to continue their education therein. You may reach out to the school’s registrar office for further details and assistance regarding this matter.
In line with such, please proceed to the Accounting Office and Registrar Office between 16 August 2022 to 19 September 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the processing and claiming of your refund and the release of transfer credentials.
We earnestly hope for your understanding and cooperation as we formally end the three-decade long educational mission of our beloved institution. We wish our students and their parents, who have been part of the Colegio De San Lorenzo family, nothing but the best.
