Founded in 2012, the City College of Angeles located in Arayat Boulevard, Barangay Pampanga, Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines has been granted the benefits of free tuition and miscellaneous fees for its qualified college students by the Unified Student Financial Assistance System (UNIFAST) per the provision of Republic Act No. 10931, otherwise known as “Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act“.

The BTVTEd is a four-year degree program that equips learners with adequate and relevant competencies in teaching specific area in food and service management and with technology and livelihood courses.

The program aimed to develop highly competent and motivated teachers in technical and vocational education in their area of specialization. Its curriculum shall impart a body of knowledge, skills, attitudes, values, and experiences that will provide Grade 9 – 10 TLE teachers, Senior High School teachers for the Tech-Voc Livelihood Track, TVET Trainers/Instructors, and faculty members in higher education institutions with the necessary competencies essential for effective teaching.

Graduates of BTVTEd are considered to have satisfied the TESDA requirement for Trainers’ Methodology. The specified body of knowledge, skills, attitudes, values, and experiences shall include the following: (a) a general education component, consistent with CMO No. 20, series of 2013; (b) a professional education component to include courses under three broad categories: 1) theory and concept courses, 2) pedagogical content knowledge, and 3) experiential learning courses.

BACHELOR OF ARTS IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE STUDIES

The BAELS is a four-year degree program designed to integrate theory and practice to prepare students the students for effective communication in English in diverse contexts and situations.

Graduates possess the following: broad knowledge of language and literature for learning; use English as a global language in a multilingual context as it applies to the teaching of language and literature; acquire extensive reading background in language and literature; demonstrate proficiency in oral and written communication; show competence in employing innovative language and literature approaches, methodologies, and strategies; use technology in facilitating language learning and teaching; and display skills and abilities to be a reflective and research-oriented language and literature teacher.

The Bachelor of Special Needs Education (BSNEd) is an undergraduate degree program which specializes in special needs education.

The program goal is to prepare teachers who will instruct and manage students with additional needs in inclusive and segregated educational settings. Its graduates will be equipped to teach the basic education curriculum and alternate curricula depending on the needs of the students. Those who will teach in the elementary level will be trained across different areas. Those who will teach in the secondary level will provide educational support to students with additional needs in inclusive classrooms or provide educational services to students who may be enrolled in special education centers.

A graduate of this degree program should be able to teach in regular and special education schools as a teacher provided that he/she passes the Licensure Examination for Teachers in his/her subject area of specialization.
