Founding and Early Years (1995–2001)

1995
Dr. Sang Ryol Lee, under the Korean Presbyterian General Assembly (KPGA) and in partnership with the Korean Christian Cultural Academy of Arts (KCCAA), initiated the establishment of a higher education institution in the Philippines.

April 28, 1995
The institution was officially registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as Seoul Theological Arts College, with registration documents secured by Kee Woo Lee, son of Dr. Lee.

1998
The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) granted Permit No. 01, s. 1998, authorizing the college to operate and offer the Bachelor of Arts in Theology program.


Milestones and Institutional Growth (2002–2008)

2002

  • The AB Theology program received CHED Government Recognition.

  • The first commencement exercises were held, producing the first graduates:

    • Patricio Delim

    • Benjamin Pugong

    • Brenda Serafino

    • Rosemary Sadey (October)

2003

  • Patricio Delim became Keystone College’s first Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) passer.

2004

  • Dr. Josephine A. Flores was appointed as the first College Dean.

  • Teacher Education programs were introduced:

    • Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED)

    • Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) – English

    • BSED – Mathematics

    • BSED – PHEM

2005

  • The college relocated to 427 BCU Building, Lower Magsaysay, Baguio City.

2007

  • CHED granted Government Recognition Nos. 003 and 004, s. 2007 for BEED and BSED programs.

  • The AB Theology program was further strengthened.

2008

  • Dr. Brandino Bestre was appointed as College President.

  • The KMAC Hymn was composed by:

    • Dr. Josephine Flores

    • Ptr. Benjamin Sokoken

    • Vesatu S. Thelou (first foreign graduate)

2009

  • The institution temporarily transferred to P. Burgos, Military Cut-off, for approximately one year.


Transition to Filipino Leadership (2011–Present)

2011

  • Keystone College transferred to its permanent campus at #13 Bakakeng Central, Marcos Highway, Baguio City.

  • Ownership and governance transitioned from Korean leadership to an all-Filipino Board of Trustees.

2012

  • The institution was officially renamed Keystone College, Inc., with approvals from SEC, CHED, and TESDA.

2013

  • A new school logo was designed by Joseph Benigno Jr.


Partnerships and Continuing Development (2016–Present)

2016

  • Keystone College established partnerships with:

    • Bartimaeus Mission International, founded by Korean blind minister Rev. In Yeob Cho

    • Baguio Vision Christian Academy (BVCA), recognized by DepEd and represented by Director Fernando Organo

2025

  • Bishop Reynaldo Cadangen was appointed as College President, marking a new chapter of leadership and growth.

Academic Programs

Degree Programs

Bachelor of Arts in Theology
BSED – Major in Values Education
Provides a deep understanding of biblical teachings, Christian doctrine, and church leadership. Prepares students for ministry, missionary work, and further theological studies.

Bachelor of Secondary Education – Major in English
Trains future English educators with a focus on literature, language studies, and effective communication.

Bachelor of Secondary Education – Major in Mathematics
Prepares students to teach mathematics at the secondary level, emphasizing analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Bachelor of Elementary Education
Equips future educators with strong foundations in teaching strategies, child development, and curriculum planning.


Certification Program

Certification in Professional Education (CPE)

  • 18 Units | 1 Semester
    Designed for degree holders preparing for the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).

  • Original Form 137 / SF 10 (Incoming Freshmen)

  • Transfer Credentials / OTR / Honorable Dismissal (Transferees)

  • Three (3) copies of 2×2 or passport-size ID photos (white background)

  • Original or authenticated PSA Birth Certificate

  • Original or authenticated PSA Marriage Certificate (if applicable)

📌 All documents must be submitted in a long white folder.
