The BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN AGRIBUSINESS is a ladderized program that will train students manufacturing and distribution of farm supplies and other related products according to the country’s bio-physical, socio-cultural, political, economic and development needs.
The BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN AGRIBUSINESS equips students with fundamental production and management skills to enable them to successfully run an agri-business venture in response to both the social need for food security and the environmental imperative of adopting sustainable and ecologically sound farming practices and models. This will be achieved through a holistic approach characterized by a harmonious and balanced mix of lecture, student-enabling techniques/ activities, heavy laboratory activities and as well as carefully supervised processed trips to reputable and successful agribusiness institutions or operations.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT
The BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT is a ladderized program that prepares students to have employable skills/competencies at every academic year level for them to be competitive in the hospitality industry locally and globally. This also prepares the students to be entrepreneurs. This curriculum includes laboratory experiences as well as local or international internship requirement in the industry.

THE BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN TOURISM MANAGEMENT is a (4) four-year degree programme that provides students a concrete view in the field of tourism. This programme leads to expertise in management of tour-operating agencies, as well as other jobs in the travel, events and hotel sector. It aims to address the need for professionals who can help in promoting the tourism and hospitality industries in the Philippines. The curriculum is designed to develop skills in critical thinking, creative problem solving, research, intellectual curiosity, and operational competencies. The combination of theories learned inside the classroom, industry immersion and on-the-job training will prepare the students to be globally competitive in tourism management operations.
Tourism Management is a study programme which prepares students to work in the dynamic tourism industry in sectors like hospitality, travel and tourism. The course will give you the knowledge and understanding how tourism businesses operate, how tourists behave and what impact tourism has on countries, cultures and the environment. It also helps to develop a wide range of skills that can be applied to a variety of managerial and entrepreneurial roles in the expanding tourism industry. BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology programme equips students with the basic ability to conceptualize, design and implement software applications. It also provides experience in the development of office support (word processing, spreadsheet, database and accounting), intranet and internet and specialized professional software (multi-media, website development and eCommerce). It also offers background in mathematical and computing principles. The goal of the program is to produce information technologists who can assist individuals and organizations in solving problems using information technology techniques and processes.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN COOPERATIVE MANAGEMENT
The Bachelor in Cooperatives Program responds to the demand of the Philippine cooperative movement for higher level managerial competence and expertise of the cooperatives’ leadership and management. There are also the national and worldwide efforts to address poverty, pursue economic development and promote empowerment.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN MIDWIFERY
Bachelor of Science in Midwifery is a four-year degree program consisting of general education and professional courses which prepare registered midwives for higher level midwifery competencies. The program includes Clinical Practicum in Management of OB Emergencies and High Risk Pregnancies, Care of Infants and Children, Comprehensive Family Planning, Community Health Service Management, Community Health Care Facility Management, Midwifery Pharmacology, Research, Entrepreneurship, Administration and Supervision. Students of the program may select from any of the following Midwifery Majors: Education, Community Health,
Reproductive Health, Administration and Supervision or Health Care Facility Management.
HISTORY
In 1975, the Ilocos Sur Public College (ISPC) was founded as a priority project of Honorable Luis “Chavit” C. Singson then Governor of Ilocos Sur with the passage of Sangguniang Panlalawigan Resolution No. 523 creating ISPC governed by a Board of Trustees (BOT) and supported by Resolution from the Municipality of Vigan and the Rotary Club of Vigan.
The College was initially located at Ilocos Sur National High School and only offered two year midwifery Course catering to students from different municipalities of Ilocos Sur and Abra. After its first year of operation, the enrollment began to increase as students were attracted to the quality of instruction and low school fees. In 1977, the Ilocos Sur Public College was transferred from Ilocos Sur National High School to Elpidio Quirino Stadium Complex and its name was changed to Ilocos Sur Community College (ISCC).
In 2011, the College launched its satellite campus in San Juan, Ilocos Sur. The College offers ladder – type course and technical – vocational programs.
Moreover, pursuant to the provisions of Republic Act 9155 (Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013). the Department of Education, Region 1 has granted Ilocos Sur Community College with a permit to offer Senior High School Effective School Year 2016 – 2017, All the course and program offering as are duly recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Technical Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
The mission of the College is to educate and train the youth of Ilocos Region whose parents are tobacco farmers for enhance labor productivity and responsible citizenship in an environment where educational access is equitable. The vision of the college is to be a center of excellence for academic, ladderized programs; Technical and Vocational Educational Training (TVET) Programs; a self-sustainable educational institution with highly competitive teaching and non-teaching staff, with state-of-the-art facilities, laboratories, institutional materials producing highly-trained and globally competitive graduates.
Ilocos Sur Community College (ISCC) was established by virtues of Sangguniang Panlalawigan No. 523 series of 1975 to offer practical courses and to serve the educational needs of deserving but indigent students. With this premise and by the authority to the Secretary of Education, dated May 30, 1975, the Provincial Board of the Province of Ilocos Sur was authorized to establish a community college. The college was organized as strictly non-political, non-profit and non-sectarian corporation.
The ISCC is designated to provide the youth of Ilocos Sur and nearby provinces practical courses and occupational training regardless of age, sex, nationality, religious belief and political affiliation, Ilocos Sur Community College is financially subsidized by the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur and is given an annual budgetary allocation as certified by the budget officer. A minimal tuition as low as P20.00/unit is collected and most of the students are supported by the Provincial Scholarship Fund.
The stablishment of Ilocos Sur Commnity College in 1975 was mandated by the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur to serve the educational needs of deserving but indigent students. During those years, there was no local college in the province, thus, Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson made a commitment to advocate for a local college as a legacy of his administration. The college is located at Quirino Stadium, Vigan City. it is Strategically located at the heart of the city. The location is a converging point of commercial and business enterprises in the province. The place is free from highly commercialized and entertainment places. The location of the college is nearby the Vigan City, the center of commerce and business in the province, where it is ideal for the students and graduates to find employment. The area is not thickly populated and students come from Metro Vigan and nearby municipalities as well as from neighboring provinces of Abra, La Union and Ilocos Norte.
Furthermore, the college caters to high school graduates from Ilocos Sur National High School, Marian Institute, UNP Laboratory School, St. Catherine High School, Caoayan National High School, Divine Word College of Vigan, and Benito Soliven Academy to name a few. The college also has neighboring HEIs like ST. Paul College of Ilocos Sur. Divine Word College of Vigan, Data Center College, Macro, STI and University of Northern Philippines. TVET graduates can venture into catering, automotive repair and electronic services businesses and now that agriculture related industries are in demand, the graduates can get employment in agricultural firms.
